Marsden

Lovely day yesterday working with the incredible Mikron Theatre Company, helping them to develop a three year organisational strategy.

Stayed at a nice inn called The Carriage House. Really friendly people and comfortable rooms.

I'm more of a shower girl, but made good use of the bath. Something about hotels always makes me want to do that. I think it's sublimely relaxing to soak in a mountain of bubbles out in the middle of nowhere, where nobody knows where you are (except the people who booked the room). A neat sense of detachment from the world.

I also love hotels that give you your own kettle in the room, especially when that comes with complimentary tea, coffee and butterscotch cookies.

Plus a nice view from the window.

The workshop was extremely productive. Forged a clear sense of where the organisation is headed.

Finished up afterwards with a wonderful meal over at Pete & Marianne's. Vast quantities of Indian take-out, much laughter and merriment. Stories unrepeatable but memorable. It was a wonderful night, and drove home to find the smiling full moon above the Inn.

Mystical. Magical. Marsden.

Popping in for a debrief this morning, then driving up to Scotland.
